We have spoken with 4,000 pension members to find out exactly how they feel about the pension communication they receive.

We found there is a huge opportunity for pension professionals to elevate their pension communication to catch members' attention and truly engage with them.

To do this, we need to talk about the things that aren’t really being addressed – like race, culture, language barriers, disability, financial struggles, family make-up and values to name a few. We need to have deep, and sometimes difficult, conversations to find out more about our members than ever before. We need to listen to their stories.  

By understanding how people really think and feel about their pension and money, we can start to shift the narrative to a more equitable one, genuinely putting members first to ensure that no one is left behind. And so that as an industry, neither are we.
